Welcome to the III Certamen Internacional de Danza "Ciutat de Barcelona", to be held in Barcelona from 24 to 27 of may 2012.

Certamen internacional de danza (International Dance Contest) is a yearly dance competition in Barcelona and it is opened to dance students of all nationalities for several disciplines which are : Classical dance, Contemporaneous dance, and Spanish dance.

It has been created and directed by Georgina Rigola, ex dancer and manager of Contraseña Produccions, who decided with the help of the Maestro hector Zaraspe to create this Certamen aiming to give professional and educational opportunities to young dancers acting like a platform to launch those students’ professional dance career.

Our aim is to help future dancers on their way to the dance world offering them the opportunity to obtain scholarship to work with the best schools around the world, the opportunity to sign contracts do dance in different shows, to work with different teachers helping them to get an international dance education.

To participate to the contest you need to send a video with variations or choreographies which will be the basis for the jury’s evaluation and decision. The selected students will get the confirmation that they are accepted to perform for the semi final and the final in Barcelona according to the determined dates.
